Thy blest words, O Christ, we trust;

For though the body slumber long,

Thou wilt raise the mouldering dust.

Then cherished friends, long parted,

That glorious morn shall meet;

All washed from sins in Jesus’ blood,

And in a Saviour’s love complete.
