“Thank you,” said the shoemaker.

Then Bobby and Betty said, “Good-day,” and went home with their shoes.

For study and play:

Shoemaker, shoemaker, mend my shoe.

Give it one stitch, give it two;

Give it three, and give it four,

And if it needs it, give it more.

Stitch, stitch away with your needle.

Pull away hard with your thread.
