Dawn on the hill tops flushes red

In the Day’s embrace, and her blush is spread

A benediction above the dead.

Dawn, and I stand again with Dawn

On the jeweled turf of Cypress Lawn.

Grief led my feet, by Reverence shod,

Into the presence of the God,
