Bake in dripping tin in slow oven.

2-oz. butter.
6-oz. castor sugar.
1 teaspoonful baking powder.
½-lb. currants.
½-oz. carraway seeds.
2-oz. lard.
¾-lb. flour.
2-oz. peel.
1 teaspoonful ginger.
3 eggs and a little milk.

Bake in moderate oven.
