Egyptian medal with clasp; medal); South African War, 1899-1900. Colonel Blomfield, born in 1855, is the son of the late Rev. G. Blomfield and the daughter of the late Bishop of London. He married the daughter of the late Major E. Bristoe. The gallant Colonel, whose splendid regiment distinguished itself at Spion Kop, had the misfortune to be taken prisoner on that occasion (see vol. iii. p. 111).
