1/2 pint of milk.

2 tablespoonfuls of sugar.

1 generous tablespoonful of butter.

1-1/2 teaspoonfuls baking powder.

1/3 teaspoonful of salt.

2 tablespoonfuls of boiling water.

1 egg.
