Forever from her view. Yes, she did smile
A strange unearthly smile, and softly said,
“I will not look again.” Then did they place
The envious cover o’er that noble form,
And screw it firmly down. Yet still she sat
And gently rock’d her in the cushion’d chair,
And her closed eyes did shed no tear. Her hands
All peacefully were clasped upon her knee,
Nor did the fingers tremble.
