THE PARTED FAMILY.

“Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thy heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalm xxvii. 14.

Toll not for every joy a parting knell!

Say not to every smile, a last farewell!

O ye, who mourn in sorrow’s darkest night,

Wait on the Lord. He dwells enthron’d in light!
