And will assemble the dispersed of Israel,
And gather together the scattered of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.” (Ibid. 12.)
“The envy also of Ephraim shall depart,
And they that harass Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not envy Judah,
And Judah shall not vex Ephraim.” (Ibid. 13.)
This prophecy, alone, is sufficiently definite with regard to a second restoration of Israel, as appears from the eleventh verse, even if there were no other to be found.
As to the second Isaiah, his prophecies may be called the “Song of Songs” of the restoration of Israel:—
