“Is there any cupboard in the surgery? You must know that.”
“Yes, there is a cupboard there, but I don’t know what is in it.”
“Did you never see it open?”
“No. Never.”
“And you never had the curiosity to look into it?”
“Of course I didn’t. Besides I couldn’t. It was locked.”
“Was it always locked when you were there?”
