The Germans attack between the Aisne and the forest of Villers-Cotterets towards Compiègne and make some progress.

The end of the First Battle of Lassigny (see June 9): the Germans are held in check on the whole front between Noyon and Montdidier; they lose part of the ground won by them on the previous day in the direction of Compiègne.
