LECTURES ON THE LITURGY,
Addressed to his Pupils by the Rev. JOHN BENTALL, M.A.,
One of the Ushers of Westminster School.
Octavo, 5s. 6d.
UNDER THE SUPERINTENDENCE OF THE
Royal Society of Literature.
Now ready, Octavo, 12s.
The First of a Series of Volumes, intended to comprise,
under the title of
BIOGRAPHIA BRITANNICA LITERARIA,
A Literary History of the
United Kingdom,
ARRANGED IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, AND COMMENCING WITH THE
ANGLO-SAXON PERIOD.
It is expected that the Second Volume will contain the ANGLO-NORMAN WRITERS, and that a Third may carry the Work through the two succeeding centuries, as far as the invention of Printing. From this epoch the Work will proceed by successive periods to the present time; and will thus constitute a complete Biographical Record of English Literature, free from the inconveniences of the alphabetical order, the only advantage of which will at the same time be secured by a carefully-compiled Index.
The portion of the Work which relates to each period, will be complete in itself.
