‘In the beginning was the Word,’ in it.
XXXVII.
“But then my Lord, my Saviour turned to me,
And with sweet smile ineffable he said,
‘To-day thou comest hence and shalt be free!’—
With music, as it came, then vanishèd
The vision—but within me it has bred
Sweet comfort that remains, and now I know
To-day I leave the world, and end my woe.
