Vowing revenge upon ye list’ning train.
Great prophet! who could’st prudently dispense,
With a becoming warmth, substantial sense;
In such a manner thou thy God addrest
As both thy rev’rence and thy wants exprest.
Thy zeal was not confined to th’ sacred chair,
But bright through all thy actions did appear.
Thy spotless life thy doctrine best apply’d,
Truth recommending wch thou first had try’d.
