A large culinary apple of roundish shape, green color, and second-rate quality; in use from November to March.—[H. S. C.] n. 47.
426. BENLOMOND.
A large, oblong, culinary fruit; of a greenish-yellow color; in use from October to December. The fruit is of good quality; tree bears steadily, has long slender twigs, is of middle size, leaves large, of uncommon figure. A variety cultivated in the Carse of Gowrie orchards. [M. C. H.
