The third priest readeth.
The gospel from Matthew, section xxxiv. from the paragraph,
At that time, Jesus called.... ending, freely give.[20]
And the deacon straightway saith this ectenia.
Have mercy upon us, O God....
Furthermore let us pray for mercy, life....
That to him may be remitted....
And, with a loud voice, For a merciful....
Deacon. Let us pray to the Lord.
