“I had ugly dreams, that waked me up.”
“Often?”
“Two or three times.”
“What did you dream about?”
“I don’t know.”
“Try if you can remember one of your dreams.”
“I fell into the water once,” said Madeline.
“And that woke you?”
“No, sir; but I thought that Mrs. Jeckyl tried to push me under, and that made me wake up.”
