Besides these, one hundred extra illustrations have been inserted, including seventeen portraits of Goldsmith, the Bewick and Westall series of illustrations, and two original drawings, one in sepia of Dr. Dodd and one in water-colours of the Covent Garden Theatre. Most of the plates are in proof state, and at page 112 is a brilliant impression of the mezzotint of General Wolfe by Spooner after Smith.
