First authentic edition of Pope's Letters. The work was advertised in The Daily Post of August 12, 1726; the date 1727 on the title is merely a device "to protract a little longer the semblance of novelty."

Portrait of Pope by Clark and Pine in Volume I, and of Swift by Vertue in Volume II.
