Laughter Condemned.

Woe unto you that laugh now. ([Luke 6 : 25].)

Sorrow is better than laughter; for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. ([Eccl. 7 : 3, 4].)


The Rod of Correction a Remedy for Foolishness.

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. ([Prov. 22 : 15].)

There is No Remedy for Foolishness.

Though thou shouldst bray a fool in mortar, ... yet will not his foolishness depart from him. ([Prov. 27 : 22].)


Temptation to be Desired.
