With jibes and jokes they daily beset me,
But none of these things do I suffer to fret me;
I smile at all they can do or say—
Don’t forget the ducats, I pray!
Ten hours each day I spend at the college,
Drinking at the fount of knowledge,
And when the lectures come to an end,
The rest in private study I spend.
The Professors express great gratification
Only they hope I will use moderation,
