The three preliminary leaves contain verses headed 'The Mind of the Front,' engraved titlepage, signed Ren. Elstrack, with imprint 'At London Printed for Walter Burre. 1614', and printed titlepage with engraved portrait of the author signed Sim: Pass. Preface. Table of contents. Several two-page engraved maps and plans inserted. At the end, address to the reader, chronological tables, alphabetical table to Books i and ii, and to Books iii-v. The first edition appeared in 1614, and the engraved titlepage was used in several subsequent ones. There were at least two before the present.
