While fewest gifts possessing,

Rejoice with praise and blessing.

What God hath done is done aright,

May He submissive make us!

His gracious promise He doth plight,

That He will ne’er forsake us:

Our Saviour knows

Our wants and woes,

And all we need provideth:

Praise God, whate’er betideth!
