O send out Thy Light and Thy Truth, that they may lead me.

Sunbeams all golden,
Gladly beholden,
Nature’s face brightening,
Man’s sorrow lightening,
Pierce through the twilight with heart-cheering ray:
Head and limbs slumbered,
By dark night encumbered;
Now blithe and cheerly
