10. Not to take steps to conquer the enemy, sin,
But yet after mere reproach to flare up in reply,
That is as silly as,
When an evil spirit is at the Eastern door,
To throw the ransom towards the Western door.
11. Those virtue-friends who understand that this is so,
Think of all embodied beings in general with kindness,
But saintly thoughts especially of all who devote themselves to the Doctrine.
