To lande I came, and did menace my brother sore,[587]

But he an armie did with speede addresse,

Which mette me straight at th’entry on the shore,

Our battayles ioynd and fought with valiantnesse:

To ships I flewe and tooke a fewe with me beside,

And hoysing sayles for hap to Gallia strands I hyd.
