Each thing by nature tendeth to the same

Whereof it came, and is disposed like:

Downe sinkes the mould, vp mounts the fiery flame,

With horne the hart, with hoofe the horse doth strike,

The wolfe doth spoile, the suttle foxe doth pike,

And to conclude,[492] no fishe, fleshe, foule or plant,

Of their true dame the property doth want.[493]
