Wherein are guilty all the greedy, who

For gayne, for friendship, landes, or honoures wed,

And these pollute the vndefiled bed.

And therefore God, through iustice cannot cease

To plague these faults with sundry sortes of whips:

As disagreement, health’s, or welth’s decrease,

Or lothing sore the neuer liked lips:

Disdayne also with rigour some times nips

Presuming mates, vnequally that match:
