Man with tools. "Hullo, Jim! Wot are yer doin' 'ere? Caretakin'?"
Man on steps. "No. I'm the howner, 'ere."
Man with tools. "'Ow's that?"
Man on steps. "Why, I did a bit o' plumbing in the 'ouse, an' I took the place in part payment for the job."
