Not seeing where he means to go,

Receive from a tremendous blind,

An almost stupifying blow.

So darkly low, so lowly dim,

It breaks the hat from crown to rim.

The taller victim as he goes,

Receives the blind below his nose;

While the less loftier passer-by,
