Imagine something more unkind,
More free from mercy’s sway,
Than Landlord, Tyrant, Wolf combined,
More cruel ev’n than they.
And if no name for work like this
Your Saxon tongues can frame,
Ask the “Ould Divil” what it is,
And call him by that name!
