When others were noticed he screamed and cried,
’Till his head exploded, and so he died;
And they said, as they washed off the gay tattoo,
And hung up his beard where the wind blew through,
That it was amazing he should be dead.
Simply because he had lost his head;
But that ’twas a warning, his awful fate,
To people who think themselves so great.
