A Yankee Soldier’s Song.
I hearkened to the thundering noise,
And wondered what ’twas for, Sir!
But when I heard ’em tell our boys,
I started up and swore, sir!
Yankee boys will fight it out!
Yankees brave and handy!
Freedom be our battle shout!
