This ebook includes the full text of the Thirty-second Annual Report of the Bureau of American Ethnology as published in 1918. The title has been adjusted to that of its main element: Seneca Fiction, Legends, and Myths, as collected by Jeremiah Curtin and J. N. B. Hewitt.
Obvious spelling mistakes have been corrected and noted in the colophon. An attempt has been made to correct the most glaring inconsistencies in the spelling of Seneca words and names, however, due to a lack of knowledge of the language, many inconsistencies remain.
The intralineair text in sections [136] and [138] sometimes used two lines for the English translation. This has been reduced to a single line, sometimes re-ordering the words in what appears to be the most natural order.
