How many poor animals we must employ

Before little George can be dressed.

The pretty sheep gives you the wool from his sides,

To make you a jacket to use;

The goat or the calf must be stripped of their hides,

To give you these nice little shoes.

And then the shy beaver contributes his share,

With the rabbit, to give you a hat,

For this must be made of their delicate hair;

And so you may thank them for that.
