Speak no more of his renown,
Lay your earthly fancies down.
He began to chaunt in a loud clear voice:
Hallowed be Thy Name—Halleluiah.
His voice was growing tremulous as he reached the second part:
We feel we are nothing—for all is Thou and in Thee;
We feel we are something—that also has come from Thee.
And he broke down as he finished the prayer:
We know we are nothing—but Thou wilt help us to be.
Hallowed be Thy Name—Halleluiah!
