Of the receiver he shall receive
All that is gathered of bailiff and reeve,
Of the lord’s courts, and forfeits[[269]] too,
Whether they be false or they be true.
To the clerk of the kitchen he pays money
For victual to buy throughout the country.
The clerk to caterer and poulterer is,
To baker and butler both, so ’tis,
Gives silver to buy in all thing,
What belongs to their office without lying.
