Aegrescit medendo (e-gres´sit med-en´).—The disorder increases with the remedy, i. e., the remedy is worse than the disease.

Aequam servare mentem (ē-kwam ser-vār´e men´tem).—To preserve a well-balanced mind; to be unmoved.
