The foregoing rosters are correct copies of the original Muster-In-Rolls of the various companies.
As a matter of course they do not show the recruits who came to the regiment in 1863 and 1864. Their names, however, will appear in the chapter devoted to the “muster-out.” Nearly two hundred recruits came to the regiment to fill its depleted ranks, and many of them were the very best of soldiers.
