“I don't know. I wanted to talk about it with you.”
“But what do you think of doing?”
“I must expose them to the people.”
Miss Gladys looked at him quickly. “Oh, no, Samuel,” she said—“you mustn't do that!”
“Why not, Miss Gladys?”
“Because—it wouldn't do.”
“But Miss Gladys—”
“It wouldn't be decent, Samuel. And it's so much more effective to talk with people privately, as you have been doing.”
