1894. Leipzig.  1 Tarrasch, 2 Lipke and Teichmann.

1895. Hastings.  1 Pillsbury, 2 Tchigorin, 3 Lasker. This tournament is historical for the first appearance of Pillsbury, the American champion, and Maroczy, the Hungarian champion.
