Quoth Robertus Byrkes, who in this world did reign

Three score years and seven, and yet liv'd not one."

Dr. Johnson latinized a part of it thus:

"Habeo, dedi quod alteri;

Habuique, quod dedi mihi;

Sed quod reliqui, perdidi."
