The first two chapters of the book are devoted to the author’s Swiss ancestors, their home in Switzerland in the shadow of the mountains, where it was finally burled by an avalanche, and later their American home in Pennsylvania whence they had brought their customs and traditions and, above all, the fairy tales of their native country.
