Repeat one row each of cream and delft blue and then 3 rows of deep blue. Finish edge in deep blue as follows—ch 3, s c in 3rd st, repeat around entire piece of work. Make a chain of deep blue about 54 in. long, draw through edge of cover from one side at top to the other leaving about 6 in. at each side. To adjust to lid draw this string tightly under edge of lid cover and tie securely in place.
