For gif men wald

Thair housis hald,

Than waxe thay bald,

To burne and slay.

Thay thiefs have neirhand herreit hail,

Ettricke forest and Lawderdaill;

Now are they gane,

In Lawthiane;

And spairis nane

That thay will waill.
