She answered with extraordinary quickness, "Yes, I have been walking in my sleep."
"I heard a cry; did you utter it?"
She laughed quietly, but without the least change of expression.
"Who else?—who else?" she replied.
"But did you hurt yourself, that you cried out?"
A shrewd light shone in her eyes as she answered:
"I stumbled; the fall awoke me, and in my fear I cried out."
