ARRIVE, the order to put the helm a-weather, bear away, or edge farther to leeward.

Arrive tout, hard a-weather. The order to put the helm close to windward.

N’Arrive pas, don’t fall off; loft.

ARRIVÉE, the movement of veering or bearing away.

ARRIVER, to bear away before the wind. Hence
