LOIER, the wages or pay of a seaman.

LONGIS, the tressel-trees of the tops, &c.

LONGUEUR de la quille, portant sur terre, the length of the keel upon a right line.

Longueur du cable, a measure of 120 fathoms, usually called a cable’s length at sea.
