See the bold language of the protest of the marquis of Priego, against this assumption of the regency by the Catholic king. Marina, however, is not justified in regarding Ferdinand's subsequent convocation of cortes for this purpose, as a concession to the demands of the nation. (Teoría, ubi supra.)
