On pense que c'est le même Jean Alphonse qui en qualité de premier Pilote accompagnait M. de Roberval lors de son voyage au Canada, en 1541, où il était allé pour rejoindre Jacques Cartier. Sous ce rapport, ces mémoires doivent être intéressans pour l'Histoire du Pays.--Le Rédacteur.
